Dana & Sean

Dana and Sean:

Summer is over but the fall wedding season is still going strong. I’ve been receiving beautiful photos from the weddings I did this past summer and cannot wait to share a few of them with you.

The first one I plan on sharing with you was for my niece Dana and now husband Sean it was held at the Landmark Center in downtown St. Paul, MN.

They pretty much gave me full reign when it came decor and floral choice…Dana picked out the colors and I created for them a truly romantic wedding using peonies and garden roses, spray roses, stock, lisianthus and hydrangea. from Dana’s bouquet to the Moon Gate Arch to all the table decor.

I knew Dana didn’t want a large bouquet and she was a more traditional bride so I designed for her a front facing bouquet of roses in various shades of peaches, blush and cream.

For Dana and Sean’ ceremony I used my Moon Gate Arch covered in greenery and areas of blooms as the backdrop and large vases with arrangements on top at the corners of the stage. It was lovely.

While choosing the table look I worked with their caterers for table linen colors, napkin color and how I wanted it placed, as I planned on placing a bloom and greenery at each guests seat.

I created for them a stunning head table with a garland running down the center a couple of elevated arrangements, Dana’s bouquet in the center and over 50 candles in various heights mixed in. Each place was set with a gold charger and sitting on it was a blush colored peony. At the end of the table I hung some fairy lights with a few of their engagement photos clipped on.

On the guest tables I had a couple of different styles of centerpiece. The first one was more of a traditional look with the arrangement done in a mercury glass compote  with gold candles placed around it. The 2nd style was the elevated arrangements that we used previously on the ceremony stage again with gold candles around the base.

Upstairs for the cocktail hour they rented some platinum colored table linens for the high-top tables and I placed a simple small gold vase with peonies and roses in them.

Dana and Sean had decided on a sweetheart cake so I placed it on a glass footed cake plate with hydrangea under it and a mix of flowers on top. Sweet and pretty.

I loved helping to plan this wedding and I loved the way it turned out, and so thanksful to be a part of their day.

It was a beautiful June day, a bit breezy, the sun was shining a most wonderful day for a wedding!

As mother of the bride I can truly say this wedding was a romantic dream. Laurie worked hard to make it easy for us. The day was perfect. From working with us, the venue, caterer, hair and makeup artists, photographer, and DJ, to ensuring that each guest was welcomed to a stunning place at the table, we couldn’t have asked for anything more. Thanks Laurie.
